Adding SF Symbols

To import SF Symbols into your document, open the Tab, and then open the SF Symbols Tab ic-sf-symbols-tab icon by tapping on the icon at the bottom right. Then, type a keyword into the Search Bar at the top of the Library Tab.

Then, you can scroll down your search results and tap on a symbol to immediately import it onto your selected Artboard.

Adding sf symbols

SF Symbols are text objects, which means they support all font weights: To change, use the font-weight selector in the text section of the Inspector.

SF Symbols are defined as text characters, meaning you can easily vectorize them with the Outline Text feature.

Usage of Sf Symbols

You can use Apple's SF Symbols library for free in your projects (over 4.4K icons are available), but you cannot use these icons outside the Apple ecosystem and for commercial use of icons or logos.

You may not use SF Symbols — or glyphs that are substantially or confusingly similar — in your app icons, logos, or any other trademark-related use. Apple reserves the right to review and, in its sole discretion, require modification or discontinuance of the use of any Symbol used in violation of the preceding restrictions, and you agree to comply with any such request promptly. Apart from that, there’s also a list of symbols that can only be used to reference particular Apple technologies, like for AirPods, Airplay, Apple Watch, and so on.

This level of freedom and expression is available in Linearity Curve directly inside the text editor. Any emoji can be added just like any other text element.
